Opening Art Reception celebrating The Blooming Artist Gallery's current exhibition, "A Thousand Words," is THIS EVENING (Friday, August 16) from 6-8pm!

This show is comprised of works created by artists both local and from surrounding northeastern states that all testify that yes-- a picture is worth a thousand words.

Three awards will be presented by our Awards Juror Ann Larsen.

Cooperstown Art Association 89th Annual National Juried Art Exhibition Opening Reception Friday, July 12 from 5-7PM. Gallery Talk & Tour with exhibit juror Thomas Sarrantonio will be at 4PM.

OUR LONGEST RUNNING TRADITION

The Cooperstown Art Association was founded in 1928 presenting only a single show, The Annual Exhibit of Cooperstown Artists.  Since then, this annual exhibit has expanded and evolved into The Annual National Juried Art Exhibition.  Now officially in its 88th year, we have been continuing to build this exhibit into one of our largest and most expansive shows - encompassing all three gallery spaces at the CAA and taking place during July & August - the height of Cooperstown's busy summer season!

Breadth and Depth: Earth, Water, Air, Fire is a national juried exhibit that challenges conventional boundaries, inviting artists to create artwork that expresses ideas about the natural world. Our goal with this exhibition is to venture into the intricate interplay between the elemental forces of nature and the profound depths of human consciousness.

From Dec 9th through Jan 13th The Artists' Space will feature new work by members of the OAKROOM ARTISTS with an opening reception on Saturday Dec 9th from 2 to 4pm. The Jan Rutland Artists’ Space (2nd floor) is open regular museum hours: OPEN WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY, 10:00AM-4:00PM

“The Artists’ Space” features changing exhibits of important artwork in diverse styles, ranging from post impressionism to folk art, once again representing the art, history and technology inherent in all things created by hand. The Jan Rutland Artists’ Space (2nd floor) is open regular museum hours. The National Bottle Museum® is located at 76 Milton Avenue in Ballston Spa, NY.

The Oakroom Artists are back at the Artists’ Space @ The National Bottle Museum for their annual show. The show will be on display from this Friday the 25th thru Dec. 28. The Artists’ OPENING RECEPTION will be held this SUNDAY, OCT. 27, from 2-4pm. As always, the public is welcome and encouraged to come out and support the regional artists sharing their art and passions with us.

On Saturday, Sept 7th, I will be showing with members of the Union College Sketch Club during the Stockade's 68th Annual Outdoor Art Show. I will be present from 2pm to 4pm in the afternoon. Come out and meet all the artists - the weather forecast is a good one!

Spencertown, New York–Spencertown Academy Arts Center kicks off its 15th annual Hidden Gardens program with “Gardens of Delight.” This exhibit features artists Stephanie Anderson, Amy Bergeron, Marilyn Orner, Mary Ellen Riell, Laura Shore, Pamela Stoddart, and Marianne Van Lent. Spencertown Academy Gallery Committee member Norma Cohen curated the show and Moira O’Grady, also a member of the committee, assisted.

The opening reception is Saturday, May 18 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, and art will remain on display through Sunday, June 16. Gallery hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission is free and all art is for sale with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the Academy. Please note that Saturday, June 15, the gallery will be open from 8:30am to 4:00pm for the Hidden Gardens Tour.
