Formed in 1956, the group’s name derives from one of their original display location, “The Oakroom” at the Van Curler Hotel, which is now Schenectady County Community College. Oakroom Artists is an invitational membership association of professional artists based in New York State’s Capital Region. Their members represent a rich diversity of artistic expression, working in mediums such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography, fiber arts, and mixed media. Please join us as we welcome the Oakroom Artists back to our Regional Art Galleries, for the first time as a collective, since 2019!
